Ruby Lee White May 18, 1917 - January 11, 2014 Ruby Lee White passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at the age of 96 years 8 Months. She was born in Rush Springs, OK to Andrew Jackson Sampley and Retha Autry Sampley on May 18, 1917. She married Wilton White of Ryan, on December 15, 1936 in Waurika, OK. They moved to Ft. Worth in 1942 to work at Consolidated Aircraft Factory until the end of World War II. After her husband's death in 1966, Ruby worked at Dillards Dept. store in Ft. Worth until she retired in 1983. Ruby moved to Denton and worked part time for several years at Denton Weight Watchers. Ruby loved baseball and was a Texas Rangers fan. She was a charter member of The Texas Rangers Women's Club. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Wilton, 2 grandchildren Karen Lee and Lisa Ann Brown, and 1 great grandchild Chloe Nicole Kring. She is survived by 3 children; Carolyn Boyd, Janelle Brown and her husband David of Denton, and Dale White and his wife Judy of Forestburg; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 13, 1014 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason funeral Home 705 N. Locust in Denton. There will be a graveside Memorial Service at Azleland Memorial Park, 850 N. Cardinal Road, Reno, TX on Tuesday January 14 at 11:00 a..m. with the Rev. Bruce Chamberlain officiating.
