"The sad news of the sudden death of Louis J. Pacal at Omaha last Friday morning was received here at 9:00 o'clock that day. The cause of death was heart trouble. He was the proprietor of the U. S. Restaurant at Omaha and commanded a good trade. That morning he complained of being tired so his wife went to the restaurant alone and let him sleep a while longer, but as he did not show up at 8:00 o'clock she went back to investigate and on arrival found her husband dead. She at once called the physicians and they said that he had been dead since about 4:00 o'clock. The remains were brought here for burial last Saturday and the funeral services were held from St. John's Catholic church on Sunday morning. Interment was held in the Catholic cemetery, Rev. Bor officiating. At the time of his death he was 38 years old, being the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Pacal of this place. Louis was well and favorably known here, though he had spent most of his life elsewhere. He was a member of several orders. He leaves to mourn his death a wife, mother and father, and two brothers besides many friends. The wife and relatives have the sympathy of many friends. Card of Thanks We extend our sincere thanks to the many friends and neighbors for the kindness and sympathy shown us and for the beautiful floral offerings at the death and burial of our husband, son and brother. MRS. L. J. PACAL, MR. & MRS. JOHN PACAL, MR. AND MRS. FERDINAND PACAL, MR. JOHN PACAL." - Wahoo Democrat; August 7, 1913
