S/O P.D. and Virtie Tittle Kirby ∼ Funeral services for Clayton Kirby, 31, grocery store owner of Spring Hill community who was killed Thursday in a hunting accident, were held Saturday at 2 pm at the Antioch Baptist Church, where he was a member. Kirby was killed by an accidental shotgun discharge while he and three friends were rabbit hunting on the Will Coffey farm about one mile from Spring Hill. He died before he could be reached by medical aid. Services were conducted by the Reverend Floyd Amos of Claires, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, assisted by the Reverend Homer Doffey and the Reverend A. R. Riddlehoover, both of Aubrey. Interment was in the Belew Cemetery between Aubrey and Pilot Point. Survivors include Kirby's wife, three daughters, Jo Ann, 10, Patsy M., 7 and Virginia, 3; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Kirby of Spring Hill; one brother, Joe Kirby of Lewisville and three grandparents, Mrs. Sally Kirby of Celina and Mr. & Mrs. Shirley Tipple of Marysville, California. Pallbearers were Bud Strickland, Ruel Yarbrough, Horace Deed, Bud Mohon, Cecil Mohon and Ralph Lantrip.
