Odie Lee Manning-Read, 76, of Sheridan, Arkansas, passed away on April 4, 2003 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sheridan. She was born on February 27, 1927 in Sheridan, Arkansas. Odie had been a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Sheridan for the past 50 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 26 years, James H. Manning; and her parents, William Ode Morrison and Evelyn Virginia Campbell-Morrison. Odie is survived by her second husband of 34 years, Leo Charles Read of the home; three sons: H. Gene Manning of Conway, Larry Joe Manning of Conway, and James Michael Manning of Sheridan; her step-daughter, Rita Smith of Pine Bluff; her step-son, Charles Read of Pine Bluff; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Evelyn Forster of Sheridan.
