Bio
Joe R. "Doc" Coalson, 76, was a retired druggist. He died following an illness of several months. Coalson was in the drug business at Strawn for 16 years and then in Throckmorton for six years. He was employed as a pharmacist in drug stores at Olney, Eastland, Ranger, Weatherfird, Dallas and Liberty. Survived by his wife - Willie; one daughter - Ida Faye Gunn; two sons - W.H. Coalson and Norman Coalson; two sisters - Myrtie Scott and Bessie Durrett; six grandchilldren; six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lewis B. Harper, Joe S. Harper, W.K. Whitman, Frank Stinnett, Raymond E. Gunn, Leroy Harvey.
