Bio

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Burris, 50, a life-long resident of Dallas, Texas, died at her home Thursday morning. Funeral services will be held in Sparkman’s Rose Avenue Funeral Chapel. Dr. Fred R. Edgar will officiate and internment will be in the Crown Hill Mausoleum. She was a graduate of North Dallas High School and attended Texas Women’s College and was a member of the Lillian Tate Class at Oak Lawn Methodist Church. Mrs. Burris is survived by her husband Walter F. Burris, three sons, Almon R. Hare Jr., Sidney A. Hare, and Walter F. Burris Jr.; her mother Mrs. S.E. Sales; her brother, Jim S. Sale, and three grandchildren, all of Dallas.
