Bio

Carole Davis Hall, resident of Colorado Springs, Colo., since 1975, went to be with her Lord on Dec. 27, 2013. She was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Shawnee to Carl and Hettie Davis. She and her husband James Hall grew up together, graduated SHS in 1952, and were married in 1955. Carole was preceded in death by husband Commander James Hall, a Navy pilot shot down over North Vietnam in 1972, and listed as MIA. She was an advocate for the MIA/POW families. In 2000, Jim's remains were returned and he was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, where Carole will be inurned with him. Carole served in church music ministry her entire life. She was a piano teacher and invested in many lives through teaching and mentoring her students. She loved the Lord, family, music, nature, gardening, and the Bible, leading in-depth Precepts Bible Study classes for 25 years. She provided loving care for her daughter Julie. Although facing many trials and adversities, Carole lived a life of faith, service, positive attitude and great sense of humor. She is survived by children Julie, Jeff and John, grandchildren Tyler, Justin, Spencer and Sawyer, and sister, Judy. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Jan 4, 2014, at Vista Grande Baptist Church, Colorado Springs.
