Funeral services for Havah Zora Thurman, 94, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2014 at Myra Wilson Chapel with Bro. Tommy Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to service time. Havah passed away on January 2, 2014 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home. She was born on February 3, 1919 in Dike, TX the daughter of Alvin and Leona McKenzie White. She married Horace Grady Thurman on March 9, 1936 in Sulphur Springs. He preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church and owned an antique store for many years. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by Edna Thurman Harrison Perkins.
