1st wife: Ouida Brooks 2nd wife: Lena Gruben OBITUARY HUGO, Okla. - Jess Wyatt Bevels of Hugo died Sunday, July 22, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital. Services will be held in the Lampton-Mills Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24. Burial will be in Fort Towson Cemetery. Mr. Bevels was born March 14, 1901, in Alabama. He had lived in the Hugo area for four years. Surviving are a son, Alva Lee Bevels of Hugo; three daughters, Betty Smith of Fort Towson, Ozelle Huber of Tyler, Texas and Florence Bevels of Waxahachie, Texas; two sisters, Grave Chiles of Waxahachie and Ottie Shelton of Odessa and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. -The Paris News, Mon, July 23, 1984, p 2A
