Bio

Gerhard Heinrich / Henry PREISTER was a son of John Henry and Adelaide LENFERS PREISTER. He was born in Kirschspiel Epe Kreis, Ahaus, near Munster, Germany. He first married Margareta WEIMERSKIRCH on 22 Apr 1879 in St. Donatus, Jackson County, Iowa. She was a daughter of Peter WEIMERSKIRCH and Magdalene GEHLEN. They were the parents of 10 children. Margareta died 8 Oct 1919. On 27 Jun 1921 Gerhard married Rosa Maria ZACH at St. Francis Assisi Church in Humphrey, Platte County, Nebraska. Rose was the oldest child of Ignatz ZACH and Anna Mary BRAUN. She was a sister of my grandmother Julia ZACH THOMAS. Gerhard and Rosa did not have children.
