The Mexia Weekly Herald Feb 26 1943 Last Rites to Be held Tuesday for Walter A. Cook Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 for Walter DeArman Cook, who died at his home at 720 East Titus early Sunday morning. Services will be held at the Pt. Enterprise Auditorium, with burial in the Pt. Enterprise cemetery. Born in Birmingham Alabama to William C. and Stacey DeArmon Cook, he has spent most of his life in Limestone, where he came as a child. After farmining and running a store at Pt. Enterprise, he moved to Mexia, where he has done carpenter work. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Conducting the services will be the Rev. W. A. Cockress, Rev L. L. Richardson and Rev. W. R. Blackman, with Corley's funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Survicors include on son, Clifton Cook of Kountze, Texas, and one daughter, Miss Agnes Cook of Mexia. Four grandchildren, Genie, Clifton Jr, Rosa Lee and Doris Agnes Cook also survive.
