Found in the 1920 census of Greenville Ward 1, Greenville County, SC; he is two months old, having been born about 1920. Father born in SC, mother born in SC (?). In July, He entered the Armed Forces on June 3, 1938. 1940, he was listed in the Marine Detachment, USS Tennessee, San Pedro, CA. From August 1 to August 31, 1940, he was listed as a Private First Class, U.S. Marie Corps, of the Marine Detachment, USS Texas. In December, 1940, he was listed as a PFC, Marine Barracks, US Naval Air Station, Cape May, NJ. In April, 1941, he was listed in the Marine Barracks, US Naval Air Station, Miami, FL. In October, 1941, he was listed in the Marine Barracks, US Naval Air Station, Miami, FL. His service ended on January 26, 1945. It is believed that he was married to Mary Frances McInvale, who predeceased him. It is also believed that he had a daughter, Candace Ann Ribaud, but little has been learned of her. He died in the VA Hospital in Houston, widowed.
