Married Elma Cantwell on September 1, 1897 in Henry County, Iowa. ```````````````````` Omaha World-Herald (Omaha, Nebr.), Morning ed., June 25, 1935, p. 16, col. 2 Records of a Day in Omaha William W. Schmitz, 61, White apartments, Twenty-fifth and Dodge streets, died Sunday at a local hospital. Surviving are four sons, Joseph F. and Richard of Omaha, Harold W. of Mount Pleasant, Ia., and Ivan M. of San Francisco; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille E. Bang, Mrs. Genevieve Fetter and Mrs. Macille Dixon, all of Omaha. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon from the Hoffmann chapel at 1:30 to St. Peter’s church at 2. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre.
