Vera Saye Died December 21, 2013 Vera Saffen Saye, age 87, a long-time resident of Baldwin County, died Saturday, December 21, 2013. In her lifetime she was an avid golfer, bridge player, enjoyed working in her yard and especially loved cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Saye, daughter, Paulette Louise Saye and her brother Dr. Eugene Saffen. She is survived by her three children, Philip (Lynn) Saye, Pamela (Freddie) Blackwell, Patricia (Nolan) Johnson, 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, two half-sisters, Connie (Howard) Smith of Chunchula, AL and Mary Whitley of Jackson, MS. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 am until the service time. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Christ the King Catholic Church, Tuesday, December 24th, 2013, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley, AL. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Christ the King School or Church or to a favorite charity. Arrangements by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne.
