Bio
The following is from his obit that was printed in the Kaufman Herald: Albert Marek passed away at his home in Kaufman on Jan. 9, 2103. Albert was born in Taylor, Texas on Dec. 29, 1915 to Robert and Mary Hubinek Marek. Albert was raised in Taylor and around Sugarland. He later moved to Kaufman County and then moved to Dallas for a short time before moving back to Kaufman County. He worked for Baylor Hospital, Ford Motor Company and the Kaufman Independent School District. Albert entered the U.S. Navy in 1943 where he was stationed in San Diego, California and was discharged in 1945. On Oct. 3, 1939 Albert married Louise Miklis in Kaufman. He was a member of the Saint Ann Catholic Church and the Kaufman Veterans of Foreign Wars. Albert loved working in his yard and garden. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Saint Ann Catholic Church with interment following in the Kaufman Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home.
