Bernard Charlie Gajdica, age 69, of Lavon, TX, passed away December 18, 2013. He was born March 17, 1944 in Mount Calm, TX, to Charlie Gajdica, Jr. & Martha Mary (Sykora) Gajdica. Bernie married Judith Smith on December 19, 1987. He was a warranty manager in the residential construction industry and a proud member of the Lake Ray Hubbard Wood Carvers Association. Bernie greatly enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting and fishing. Above all Bernie loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was of the Catholic faith. Bernie is survived by his loving wife: Judith Gajdica of Lavon, TX; son: Carey Bernard Gajdica & wife Lisa of Lavon, TX; daughter: Holly LeAnn Reesing & husband Gary of Cleburne, TX; brother: Daniel Gajdica & wife Susie of Plano, TX; sisters: Charline Pollard & husband Joe of Dallas, TX, Margie Gunter & husband Billy of Rockwall, TX, and Mary Archer & husband Keith of Dallas, TX; and grandchildren: Callie and Megan Gajdica and Ryan and Madison Reesing. He was preceded in death by his son: Michael Shannon Gajdica and his parents. A memorial service will be held 10:00am, Monday, December 23, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Msg.
