At the request of Debbie there was to be no funeral and a memorial was to be held following cremation to honor her life and passing at a later date. On the 9th of June 1984 Ms. Debbie Walker Locke became the bride of Donald Lamb, Chief Warrant Officer of the U.S. Army (RET), who served three tours of duty in the Viet Nam War, something that Debbie was so very proud of.
