Joseph Dvorsky III, 57, of Waco, passed away after a sudden illness on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 20, at St. Louis Catholic Church by Father John Guzaldo. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 19, in the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel, Waco, with a Vigil Service and Rosary starting at 7 p.m. Joey was born in Beaumont, Texas, to Joe and Dorothy Dvorsky. He graduated from Reicher Catholic High School in 1974, and was a member of the Corps of Cadets Class of 1978 at Texas A & M, where he also played football. Joey married Mary Rita Ginnane on Oct. 13, 1984. Joey worked as a TYMCO Engineering Manager for 37 years. A very hard worker, Joey could also fix almost anything. His love for the Lord showed in his faithful attendance at St. Louis Catholic Church where he was a Lector and Eucharistic minister. Joey volunteered as team member for ACTS Mens Retreats and attended That Man Is You sessions weekly. Joey loved his Catholic faith and sharing his knowledge of it with his family and friends. He enjoyed reading, fishing, travelling, carpentry, cooking, drawing, and studying airplane history, but, most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He loved coaching and watching baseball, watching football, and was his kids' number one fan, supporting them in all areas of their life. He was an avid reader and could answer almost any question asked of him. Survivors include his wife, Mary Dvorsky; sons, Joseph Dvorsky and wife, Jana, of Waco, and Justin Dvorsky; daughter, Katelyn Dvorsky; his parents, Joe and Dorothy Dvorsky, of Waco; sister, Tricia Geiger and husband, Joe, of Waco; brother, Robert Dvorsky and his wife, Peggy, of Kingwood; his mother and father-in-law, Martin and Marilyn Ginnane, of Waco; brother and sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews;, as well as many beloved friends.
