Virginia Jean Boeker Custer Norris, age 87, a resident of Kingsville, Texas for 70 years, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 in Kingsville. She was born November 30, 1925 in Riviera, Texas to Herbert and Mary Cernock Boeker. Virginia was a Kingsville H.E.B. partner for 37 years retiring in her 38th year of employment. Mrs. Norris was a member of the Kingsville Church of Crist. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert James Custer, and two sons, Robert Gene Custer and Gary Lee Custer. Mrs. Norris is survived by her husband Roger Norris of Kingsville; daughter, Sandra Sue Custer Calkins (John) of Katy, Texas; five grandchildren, Wesley James Custer, Bryan Phillip Custer, Bradley Jason Custer, Meliissa Sue Calkins Stelly (Chad) and Ginger Jo Calkins; and six great-grandchildren, James Andrew Custer, Sean Tyler Custer, Brennan Eugene Custer, Chandler Reed Custer, Connor Charles Stelly and Bennett Lee Stelly. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Tim Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Riviera, Texas at Riviera Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas Thanks to Nancy for the obituary information.
