Bio

William R. (Billy) Faust, age 76, of San Antonio, beloved husband of Marie Gracey Faust, died at home on Monday, April 11, 1988. Mr. Faust was a member of Travis Park United Methodist Churc and was a graduate of Texas A&M College, Class of 1933. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an employee of the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation for 41 1/2 years. He is also survived by a son, William R. Faust of Austin, a daughter, Nancy F. Symons of Cupertino, Ca., grandson, Boyd D. Faust of San Antonio; granddaughters, Monica L. Faust of Austin, Julie Anna Symons and Lisa Marie Symons, both of Cupertino, Ca.; brothers, Col. H Reed Faust (Ret.) of Comfort, Tx., and Hugo M. Faust of Houston. The family will receive friends at Porter Loring Mortuary from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock Thursday evening, April 14, 1988. Services Friday 11:00 A.M. Porter Loring Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Calvin Froehner officiating. Pallbearers Jack Malchoff Sr., Walter L. Williams, Harold Fiedler, Col H. Reed Faust, Hugo M. Faust, and Eddie Youngblood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Travis Park United Methodist Church or Hospice of San Antonio. Private graveside services and interment will be at Garden of Memories, Kerrville, Tx. San Antonio Light San Antonio, Texas Thursday, April 14, 1988
