MAYFIELD Earnestine Pauline Mayfield, 84, died March 16, 1990 in Jackson Memorial Hospital in Altus. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am. Monday, March 19 at the Willow Methodest Church with Rusty Williams officiating. Burial was in the Willow Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Seyre. Earnestine, the daughter of Frank Emil and Marie Annie Kopeck, was born Feb. 13, 1906 in Rudnik, Austria. She moved with her parents as an immigrant from Poland to the United States in 1911 at the age of 5. She attended school at Willow and became a naturalized citizen in the early 1940s. Earnestine moved from Willow in 1956 ad began to work in the Civil Service for the U.S. Airforce in Roswell, N.M., Denver, Colo., and Phoenix, Ariz., before her retirement in 1970 when she moved to Sayre to make her home. She worked in many restaurants in Sayre before she became a dispatcher for the RECAP office in Sayre. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Wanda Lee Long; one sister, Annie Davis and one brother, Emil Frank Kopek. She is survived by two daughters and son in law, Imogene and Johnnie Patten of Willow and Pauline and Ablee Hesser of Stillwater; one sister, Hattie Wilson of Sayre; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Note: Rudnick was in the former Austro-Hungarian province of Galicia.
