KEARNEY — Pearl E. Talbot, 89, of Pleasanton died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Mount Carmel Home Keens Memorial in Kearney. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasanton with the Rev. Dean Hanson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasanton Cemetery. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements. She was born Dec. 2, 1924, on the family farm northwest of Pleasanton to Arthur and Ethel (Yarrington) Lammers. On Feb. 1, 1946, she married Laurel "Ike" Talbot in Denver. Survivors include her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Dick Riessland of Pleasanton; grandchildren, Laurie Riessland, Cody Riessland and his wife, Heidi, and Corey Riessland and his wife, Cara, all of Pleasanton, Lana Juracek and her husband, Troy, of Louisville and Amy Riessland-Conaway and her husband, Ron, of Ralston; and 10 great-grandchildren. She attended school in Pleasanton and graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1942. She and her husband made their home on a farm northwest of Pleasanton. She owned and operated Talbots That Woman clothing store in Kearney for several years. She sold Avon for 10 years before her illness. Pearl enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, cooking and yard work. She and Ike had been married for 66 years. They loved to go to dances. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
