Beryl Lewis “Ole” Olson LA MARQUE — Beryl Lewis “Ole” Olson, 83, of La Marque, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007, in Dickinson. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, May 10, at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Mr. Olson was born January 9, 1924 in Arkansas City, Kansas. He was a mechanical engineer for Marathon Oil. After his retirement, he was well known for making custom pool cues and participated in numerous pool tournaments. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army Air Force. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Olson. Survivors include his son Robert Olson and wife, Margaret of South Lake Tahoe, California; daughters Nancy Matthews and husband, Stephen, of Texas City and Margaret Olson of La Marque; and granddaughter Julia Matthews.
