Gertrude is the daughter of William Earl & Gladys Fae (Arnold) Harris. Gertrude married Leo Charles Brink on August 3, 1946 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. They are the parents of Patricia, Barbara, Teresa, Charles, Ed, Carol, Margaret & Ellen. ---------------------------------- Gertrude's obituary was added to her memorial on 10-8-2022 ---Judy Johnson Gertrude Leona (Harris) Brink age 86 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Hillcrest Country Estates in Papillion, NE. She was born on August 1, 1927 to William Earl and Gladys Fae (Arnold) Harris in Meeker, OK. She moved to Plattsmouth, NE with her family as an infant. Gertrude was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth and graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1945. She met the love of her life Leo Charles Brink and they were later married on August 3, 1946 in Plattsmouth. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker, but had worked for many years at Knorr's Store in Plattsmouth. Gertrude was a lifelong Plattsmouth resident. Gertrude was a member of the Church of The Holy Spirit, P.C.C.W., Catholic Daughters, Church of The Holy Spirit Quilters, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Aerie #365 all of Plattsmouth, NE. She is survived by her Three Daughters: Patricia Galbraith of Lincoln, NE, Barbara Buckman and husband Daryl of Omaha, NE, Teresa Lewandowski and husband John of Plattsmouth, NE, Two Sons: Charles "Chuck" Brink and wife Cathy of Beaver Lake, NE, Ed Brink and wife Debra of Plattsmouth, NE, Ten Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren, Sister: Mary Jane Beins of Plattsmouth, NE, Two Brothers-in-law: John Blotzer of Plattsmouth, NE, Bob Richter of Beatrice, NE; Three Sisters-in-law: Idalene Brink of Plattsmouth, NE, Norma Brink of Plattsmouth, NE, Katherine Halpin of Philadelphia, PA, and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents: William and Gladys Harris, Three Infant Daughters: Carol, Margaret, and Ellen Brink, Grandson: Mark Brink, Great Grandson: Riley Fiene, Husband: Leo Brink, Sister: Beverly Blotzer, and Brother-in-law: Fred Beins. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Church of The Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, NE with Father Loras K. Grell officiating, Terry Little and Larry Jensen as vocalists, Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist, Janice Vinduska as lector, and Lynn Vinduska and Fred Ulrich as acolytes. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Church of The Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth. Visitations will be from 1-5 P.M. with family receiving relatives and friends from 3-5 P.M., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. Pallbearers will be Charles Buckman, Nolan Lewandowski, A.J. Brink, Tyler Fiene, Brian Burns, and Steve Weisz. Her Final Resting Place is at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
