Services are pending with Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home. ---------- Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Wed, 15 Jun 1977, page A2, Deaths, Long Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret E. Long, 92, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Diggs officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Park Cemetery. She died on June 13 at 3:30 p.m. in Commerce nursing home. Pallbearers will include Charlie Freeway, Elbert Freeman, Jake Jacobs, R.L. Rnefro, Bo Lipsey and Bud Philips. Mrs. Long was born on Dec. 25, 1884 in Mississippi. She was married to R.L. Long and was a member of the Kingston Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Robert Long of Fort Worth and Roy Long and Elmer Long, both of Greenville; two daughters in law, Mrs. Mildred Long and Mrs. May Long, both of Greenville; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Stigall of Throckmorton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1946, two sons, Elbert Long in 1945 and Luther Long on April 2, 1969 and several brothers and sisters.
