Maudell Luckett Arey, 90, of Commerce passed away December 1, 2013 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kerry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Born July 14, 1923, in Rains County, Maudell was the daughter of Odie Edward and Esther Irene (Cupp) Luckett. On August 14, 1943, in Dallas, she married Fred Arey. She was a homemaker and seamstress and was a member of Fairlie Baptist Church. Her survivors include her husband, Fred of Commerce; brother Harold Luckett and wife, Pat of Commerce; sisters Irene Patterson and husband, James of Richardson and Jean McQueary and husband, Second of Fairlie; and many nieces and nephews whom she cherished very much. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Doyce Luckett and George Allen Luckett. Pallbearers will be nephews Bryan Luckett, Brandon Luckett, Cody Benson, Paul McQueary, Phil McQueary, and Truett McQueary.
