Bio

On stone with Melvin Dean Hefelfinger On January 27,1937, Mrs. Hefelfinger was born to Fran and Clara Vanek in Limestone county. She was reared and educated in Ben Hur, where she graduated from high school in 1955. On Nov. 23, 1957 she was married at St. John's United Church of Christ to Melvin Hefelfinger. For 15 years she worked with food services for Mart ISD before she retired in 1995. She formerly worked for Cassady Sewing and managed the White store in Mart. She was a long time member of St. John's UCC, where she was a very active member of the Women's Guild.
