Funeral services for Tommie Lee Uselton, 85, of Marshall will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Dickerson, Kevin Uselton, and Chaplain Frank Cason officiating. Interment will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Ms. Uselton passed away on November 28, 2013 at her residence in Marshall. Tommie Lee was born in Murphy, Texas on September 12, 1928 to Henry Barton Jones and Bessie Mae Gant Jones. She graduated from Plano High School, and married Jesse Uselton on June 6, 1947 in Plano, Texas. She was a homemaker and excellent cook. She loved teaching Sunday school and genealogy. Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband of sixty-six years, Jesse W. Uselton of Marshall; daughters, Sherry Dickerson and husband, Sammy of Bullard, and Nannette Clark and husband, Brett of Nashville; son, Tracy Uselton of Marshall; daughter-in-law, Judy "Uselton" McArthur and husband, Harold of Waskom; sisters, Mary Duncan and husband, Don of Wylie, and Betty Bowden and husband, Toby of Plano; 3 granddaughters; 6 grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Bart Uselton, and one grandson, Tony Dickerson. downsfuneralhome.com
