Mrs. C. V. Stern OROVILLE, March 16 – Pearl R. Stern, 62, died in the Tonasket hospital Thursday following a long illness. Born on August 17, 1888, in Dark County, Ohio, she was married on February 16, 1910, to Charles V. Stern. They had lived in the Tonasket-Oroville area the past 29 years. They resided in Wenatchee from 1919 to 1922. Mrs. Stern was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Ellisforde. Surviving are her husband, the Rev. C. V. Stern of Tonasket; two daughters, Virginia Ruark of Tonasket and Mrs. Leona S. Jones of Honolulu; one sons, the Rev. Marion M. Stern of Granger; two brothers, Joe H. Ross and Charles G. Ross, both in California; one sister, Mrs. Mary Miller of Minnesota; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 pm at the Church of the Brethren in Ellisforde, with the Rev. Blickenstaff officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain View cemetery in Ellisforde. The Barnes funeral service of Oroville is in charge of arrangements.
