Bio
Adele Markert, 94, of Victoria passed away May 4, 2016. She was born November 1, 1921 in Manheim, Texas to the late Henry and Anna Schimank Urban. Survivors include son, Kenneth Markert (Linda) of Corpus Christi; daughters, Ann (Wayne) Schueler of Richmond and Janet Lemke (Curtis) of Victoria; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Markert, her daughter, Nina Lumpkins, and ten brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be at 10 am Monday, May 9, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Edwin Kissman, Larry Blankenburg, Edward Markert, Dennis Markert, Jared Lumpkins, Mark Lemke, Stephen Lemke and Xavier Lemke. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Schueler, Gibson Baafour, Geoff Mosier, Luke Markert, John Markert, Edwin Ogilvie and Reinhold Urban.
