Rosa Juanita Henley, 85, was called to the Lord on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. Rosa was born April 4, 1928, to William Esco and Lilly Mae Gully in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married Otto K. Henley Jan. 18, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to Carlsbad shortly after they were married, then settled in Farmington, where they lived until Rosa moved to Great Falls, Mont., in 2008. Rosa spent her life raising her five children and Dad as a homemaker and farm wife and held God in everything she did. She had five children, Gwendlyn (Del) Beard, William Henley, Clayton (Bridgett) Henley, Jan (Everett) Hodgson and Donald (Brenda) Henley. Rosa had six grandsons, David, Clayton, Barrett, Brandon, Adam and Payton; several great-grandchildren; and her nieces. God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered 'Come with me.' She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters; husband, Otto; and her daughter, Gwendlyn. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, at First Baptist Church of Flora Vista. Pallbearers are Clayton Henley II, Brandon Henley, Barrett Henley, Joe Mahan, Joe Rogge and Ronnie Faircloth. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Laskei, Bobby Laskei Jr. and Del Beard. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens with reception to follow at First Baptist Church of Flora Vista. Memorials can be sent to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th floor, New York, NY 10001. Rosa's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington, 505-327-5142. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at www.serenityandcompany.com. Published in Farmington Daily Times from Nov. 19 to Nov. 29, 2013
