Henry died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center in Osceola, Nebraska. Henry Brase, Jr. was born December 20, 1917 near Bellwood, Nebraska to Henry, Sr. and Maria (Kopke) Brase. He grew up in the Bellwood area and graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus. Henry married Delores Zohner on February 7, 1939. The couple lived and farmed near Bellwood before moving to a farm near Shelby where they lived until moving to the Good Samaritan Center in Osceola. Henry and Delores were married for 74 years. During their marriage they were recognized as "World Travelers" by Princess Cruise Lines. Besides farming, Henry was a Pioneer Seed Dealer for 39 years and served as a Federal Land Bank Director in Columbus for 25 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Shelby. Henry enjoyed raising livestock, hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering with various interests.
