Obituary for Jewel Janette Jennings Edmiston Gathright in The Texarkana Gazette Newspaper (Texarkana, Bowie Co., Texas) published Friday, Feb. 20, 2004: Jewel Gathright Nashille, Ark. - Jewel Janette Gathright, 96, of Nashville Died Wednesday, Feb 18, 2004, in a local Hospital. Mrs. Gathright was born Sept. 4, 1907, in Macon, Ga. She was a retired Nurse and member of Immanuel Baptist Church at Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordie Gathright. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Green of Nashville; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 am, Saturday at Antioch Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Latimer Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5pm to 8pm Friday at the funeral home. ------ Note: Jewel married first to Charlie Claborn Edmiston and had issue: 1) Alton Bruce Edmiston; 2) Mary Ellen (Edmiston) Green; 3) Charles Kenneth Edmiston. ------------------------- Courtesy of CHB
