Danny Felty, 72, of Quanah, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in Wichita Falls. Services Thursday, Nov. 14, in First United Methodist Church in Quanah with the Rev. Jason Stidham, the Rev. Chris Holland, and County Judge Ronnie Ingram officiating. Interment in Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Quanah. He was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Quanah, a son of the late Hubert and Dee Scarlet Felty. He married Linda Joy Green on Dec. 1, 1961, in Chillicothe. Felty was office manager at Georgia-Pacific for 30 years. He began employment with the City of Quanah in 1997 as a water clerk and became the city administrator in June 2002, serving until his retirement in February 2012. Felty served on the Quanah City Council for 17 years. He was a lifelong resident of Quanah and attended First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, of Quanah; a daughter, Mindy Felty of Fort Worth; two sons, Kevin Felty of Joes, Colo., and Kyle Felty of Fort Worth; a sister, Neita Brandon of Quanah; and three grandchildren.
