GOTHENBURG — Elleen May Hall, 88, of Broken Bow died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at One Box Convention Center in Broken Bow with Andrew Black officiating. Burial of cremains has taken place. Arnold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 22, 1925, in Omaha to George and Marian (Lindquist) Ash. In 1944, she married James Seimer. They divorced in 1959. On March 1, 1964, she married Robert L. "Bob" Hall. He died in 2005. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jerry and Deborah Seimer of Enterprise, Ala., Judy Rose of Grand Island, Jon and Lisa Seimer of Gothenburg, Robert V. Hall and his fiancée, Crystal Darnall, of McCook and Christie and T.K. Rogers of Stapleton; stepdaughters and their husbands, Kathy and Del Varney of Everett, Wash., and Laura and Jerry Schultz of Seward; brother, George Ash Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Alma; and too many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to count. Elleen received her education in Ainsworth and graduated in 1942. She married James and worked full time raising three children. She moved to Broken Bow. She married Robert and was blessed with another son and daughter. Elleen was a dedicated employee for 25 years at Becton-Dickinson before retiring in 1985. In her "spare" time, she loved to bowl. She participated in several local leagues and set a record of 60 consecutive years bowling in the State Championship Tournaments. Elleen was also a self-taught taxidermist and always had unique decorations in her front yard on North Fifth Avenue. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and would happily take your money. In addition to her husband, Bob, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eldon; an infant sister; and son-in-law, Terry Rose.
