Bio

Herald Coaster, September 1, 1967: Funeral services for Curry Austin Buchanan, 65, of Houston, a former resident of Rosenberg, were scheduled at 1 p.m. today (Friday) in Colonial Funeral Homes Chapel of the Roses in Pasadena. The Rev. Frank Boutwell was to officiate at the services. Burial was scheduled in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg. Mr. Buchanan, a retired auto service manager, died Tuesday in a Houston hospital. He lived many years in Rosenberg before moving to Houston. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church in Pasadena. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Duzek of Houston; two sons, C.A. Buchanan Jr. and Lloyd Buchanan, both of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Carl O'Neal and Mrs. Mildred Pace, both of El Campo, and Mrs. Lena Vannoy of Pasadena; and 16 grandchildren.
