Theodore F. Nemec, 87, lovingly known as "Ted", of Jarrell, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, from 6:45PM to 9:00PM and Rosary will be recited at 7:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Ted was born to John and Frances (Kubacak) Nemec on September 10, 1926 in Walburg, Texas. Farming was Ted's way of life, he farmed and raised cattle from childhood. Theodore was called to served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. Ted was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Corn Hill, it was in that small committee that he met the love of his life Gabriella Foltyn. On the 16th of August in 1949 he married his love Gabriella at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Corn Hill. Through the years, along with his love for farming, Ted worked as a barber in Bartlett for many years, as a car salesman, and sold lumber and feed. His catholic faith was deeply rooted in his life, he served his church in many ways and was a lifetime member of KJT. Coming from a Czech family he passed his traditions and heritage on to his family over the years, his heritage in the Williamson County area will be long remembered and endeared. Theodore his preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances; his wife of over 60 years, Gabriella Foltyn Nemec; his siblings, Margaret Vrazel, Lucy Martinka, Martha Nemec, Alice Nemec, John Nemec his brother-in-law, Rev. Msgr. Emilian Foltyn; and 1 great grandchild Theodore is survived by his children, Theodore T. Nemec "Butch" and wife Sandra of Jarrell, Robert Nemec and Nancy Hoffman of Georgetown, Donald Nemec and wife Jerri of Georgetown, Patricia Balz and husband Terry of Temple, Katherine Meissner and husband Billy of Bartlett, Michael Nemec and wife Janine of Jarrell, Thomas Nemec and wife Teresa of Taylor and Timothy Nemec and wife Paula of Taylor; sisters Helen Repa of Granger, Frances Friesenhahn and husband Wilburn of Austin and brother Paul Nemec of Georgetown; 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8626 FM 1105, Jarrell, Texas 76537.
