Columbus Telegram, May 18, 1900 HEGI--Mrs. Anna Hegi, wife of A. Hegi, died last Saturday at her home five miles west of Duncan, after an illness of one year. The funeral was held at the home Monday afternoon, Rev J. B. Braun conducting the service, with burial in the Duncan cemetery. Mrs. Hegi was born in Platte county thirty-two years ago. She was a daughter of Mr. Fred Gerber, among the pioneer settlers of the Gruetli neighborhood. She became the wife of Mr. Hegi eight years ago, and until recently had resided in Duncan. Her husband and one child survive her. She also leaves four sisters and two brothers.
