Bio

Jack Charles Hoskins, age 82, Republic, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October, 31, 2013, in his home, with family at his side. He was born July 4, 1931 in Guide Rock, Nebraska, to Charles Henry and Ethel Hoskins. He was a former substation operator for the U.S. Department of Energy Jack was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Republic, where he had been a Sunday school teacher and, also, was a volunteer worker. He was an U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran and a member of the VFW #4593 and the American Legion #676. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Erma Mae (Ady) on June 5, 2009; his parents; and a sister. His survivors include three children, Frances Benson, John Hoskins and wife Cherie, and Linda Copeland and husband Terry; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Glenda Mullins and husband Brian; a special cousin, Lin Hoskins and wife Deb; and a faithful pet, Roxie; other relatives and friends.
