Irene F.E. Mahaffey, 89, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at a local medical center. A memorial service will be at 4:00p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Cherry Heights Baptist Church, 729 Gas House Rd., Clyde, TX. Arrangements were made by Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd. St., Abilene, TX. Irene was born on November 21, 1922 in Rulo, Nebraska to Albert G. and Margaret Miller Morehouse. She attended Cherry Heights Baptist Church in Clyde, TX. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Thomas O. Mahaffey; two brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include her sons, John David Crockett of Douglas, Wyoming, Albert Wayne Crockett of Portland, Oregon, and Larry G.
