Services for Paul Wayne Witherspoon, 75, of Edgewood, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday October 30, 2013 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Chaplain David Hicks officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be in DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. He passed away October 27, 2013 in Grand Saline, TX. Mr. Witherspoon was born August 14, 1938 in Dallas, TX, to Joseph Young and Burty Marie Moore Witherspoon. Paul was married for 56 years to his precious wife, Mary Kay. He enjoyed riding horses and owned a world champion cutting horse. Paul was an outdoors person and loved softball, basketball, golf, hunting, and snow skiing. He also loved to watch his grandkids in their sports. Paul worked over 50 years for the Dallas Morning News, starting with a paper route and retiring as the city circulation manager. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Rangers and Cowboys fan. Surviving are Wife, Mary Kay Witherspoon of Edgewood, Son, David & Angela Witherspoon of Edgewood, Daughter, Paula & Frank Kiely of Chicago, IL, Brother, Brad Witherspoon of Terrell, Grandchildren, Zachary Witherspoon, Matthew Deeks, Sean & Kacee Deeks, Taylor Kiely, Kayla Kiely. Paul was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers are Zachary Witherspoon, Matthew Deeks, Sean Deeks, Taylor Kiely, Kayla Kiely. Family will receive friends Wednesday 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
