Former owner, Chief Motel, Wahoo, 1948-1999. Attended District 71 school, rural Weston; graduated, Weston High School, 1937. Married Georgianne Sabatka (9/21/42) at St. John Catholic Church, Weston. Wahoo resident since 1946. Member, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wahoo; honorary life member, Wahoo Council 1833, Knights of Columbus. Survivors: wife, Georgianne; sons, daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Jan, Lincoln, Roger and Roxanne, Merrifield, Minn., Dennis and Debbie, Wahoo; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sisters, Teresa Noha, Wahoo, Sylvia Swoboda, David City; sisters-in-law, Celestine Bouc, Anne Bouc, both Wahoo. Preceded in death by sister, Ludmilla Chapek; brothers, Julius, Edward; grandson, Darren Bouc. Mass of Christian burial: 10 a.m. Friday, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wahoo. St. Francis Cemetery, Wahoo. Vigil service: 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by K of C and CD of A rosary, both at Svoboda Funeral Home, Wahoo. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Thursday and until 9:45 a.m. Friday, funeral home. Memorials to St. Wenceslaus elementary school or Bishop Neumann Central Catholic High School.
