Bio

John farmed with his parents in Brainard, NE until the 1920's. He married first, widow Otillie "Tillie" (Novak) Polivka on 30 Jan 1930 in Boyd county, NE (marriage book 4b, page 191). She had two children from her previous marriage, Eleanor (married Myrland Clemon) and Norman Polivka (died in California 2011). John and Tillie had a daughter, Marcella. They divorced in October 1940. He married his second wife Mrs. Gertrude (Johnson) Buettner at O"Neill, NE on December 23, 1940. John farmed in Boyd county in the 1930's and then worked for the WPA project.
