Bio from Ellen Bishop HIS OBITUARY IS IN THE LEEDY COLLECTION, IN THE KEEPING OF THE MINNILUSA HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION IN RAPID CITY SD. He grew up in Gregory SD, and graduated from High School there, he went on to attended the University of Nebraska, and graduate from the University of Omaha with a degree in Pharmacy. Michael came to Rapid City in 1934 and worked for the Dougherty Drug store. In 1937 he began operating a drug store with O.C.Peterson and later owned and operated Becker's Drug until the time of his death. Michael was a former member of the South Dakota Pharmaceutical Board and former member of the board of directors of the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the Elks Club and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral. He is survived by five brothers and four sisters. He was buried at Gregory Cemetery .
