Richard Sexton July 3, 1958 - October 18, 2013 Aquilla, Texas Richard Sexton, 55, of Aquilla, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013. He was born on July 3, 1958 in Texas City, Texas to Lloyd James Sr. and Joyce Faylene Pilant Sexton. On August 20, 1977 he married his wife Karen Kelley Sexton in Clifton, Texas. Richard enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He along with his sons enjoyed competing in Barbeque cook-offs. Some of Richards favorite pass times were fishing and watching football especially the Dallas Cowboys. Richard was employed by the Aquilla I.S.D. were he worked for the past 10 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Bobby Smith, and niece Tammie Smith. Survivors include, his wife, Karen Sexton, children; Jason Sexton and wife, Nicole, Joshua Sexton and Colby Sexton, brother; Lloyd James Sexton Jr. and wife Pat, sister; Suzanne Smith and husband Wayne, grandchildren; Jaxon Sexton, and Jacy Sexton, and many nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 23,2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Rev. Darrell Wallace will be officiating, burial will follow at Clifton Memorial Park, in Clifton, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the funeral home in Whitney. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. box 841125, Dallas, Texas
