Funeral services for Robert H. "Bob" Brummal, 85, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Peter L. Fritsch officiating. Services are under direction of Rix Funeral Directors. He died on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at his residence. He was born on March 20, 1915, in Beelerton, Ky. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School, the University of Oklahoma and the University of Kentucky. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years, being discharged as chief photographer's mate. He was employed by Southwestern Public Service Co. from 1952 until 1987, retiring as the Southern Division Manager. He was a member, former Senior Warden and lay reader of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. His civic leadership included: past president of the Lubbock Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow; past president of the Lubbock YMCA; Lubbock Chamber of Commerce; West Texas Museum Association; the Red Raider Club; chairman of the President's Council at Lubbock Christian University; Texas Tech Foundation Board; YWCA Advisory Council; Girl Scouts Council; and development chairman for St. Mary of the Plains Hospital. He was active in Boy Scouts and was a past president of the South Plains Council. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award and the Silver Beaver Award. He was a former vice president and member of the Board of Directors of Plains National Bank. He was a member of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, an Honorary Geological Fraternity. He married Nadine Eisenberg in 1945 in San Diego, Calif. She died on July 9, 1966. He married Emma McGlasson on May 1, 1967, in Dallas.
