Joseph John Janac Wednesday, November 01, 2006 A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, in St. Peter Catholic Church in Newberg for Joseph John "Joe" Janac, who died Oct. 31 at age 80. Mr. Janac was born March 6, 1926, in Ord, Neb. He moved to Corbett in 1933, and in 1935 to Scappoose, and served in the Coast Guard. He moved to Dundee in 1961, and was a purchasing agent for Freightliner for 32 years and a hazelnut, prune and walnut farmer in Dundee. He was a 40-year member of the church. In 1949, he married Catherine Bruckner. Survivors include his wife; sons, Joe Jr., Stephen and Mike; daughters, Terri Riley, Diana Pike and Patty Gaskins; brothers, Chuck and Wes; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
