Charles Wayne Bassham, age 72 of Minor Hill, passed away October 12, 2013 He is preceded in death by his father Otis Nelson Bassham, daughter Barbara Gayle Bassham, and brothers Joseph & Robert Bassham. Survivors include his wife Joan White Bassham of Minor Hill, mother Nella Bassham of Athens, AL, son Tim Bassham and wife Betty of Pulaski, daughters, Lori Cook & husband Brent of Pulaski, Jennifer Millwood & husband Eddie of Double Springs, Al, and Cassi Sawyer and husband Joe of Minor Hill, brothers Douglas Bassham of Minor Hill, Donald and Kenneth Bassham of Salem, AL, Thomas Bassham of Athens,AL, and Stanley Bassham of Anderson,AL, sisters Barbara Gwaltney of Scottsboro AL, and Sharon Brown of Athens,AL, and 6 grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the New Salem Cemetery.
