Thanks to contributor #47226369 BURWELL — Jess E. Wilcox Jr., 58, of Burwell died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Burwell. The Rev. Mike Blatchley will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Eberle-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family. Mr. Wilcox was born on June 27, 1940, in California. He moved around for a while with his mother, Evelyn (Paddock) Kowalski, before settling in Ord in 1949. He married Deborah Lytle on Jan. 2, 1998, in Burwell. Mr. Wilcox was a truck driver. He enjoyed shooting pool and bowling. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Ricky Wilcox of Kearney, Randy Wilcox of Chicago, Ronnie Wilcox of Fremont and Jeremy Wilcox of Omaha; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Cheryl Moran of Hastings, Diane Fischer of Kearney, Penney (Mrs. Norm) Lenstrom of Greeley, Colo., and Kimberly (Mrs. Bob) Smith of Broken Bow.
