Frank J. Chrastil, 96, of Crete died Friday, October 6, 2006, one day before his 97th birthday. He was born October 7, 1909 in Hallam to Frank and Anna Chrastil. He started his married life with Lillian (Hronik) on May 25, 1936 on a farm near Kramer. They moved to Crete in 1967 where Frank worked at the former Crete hospital until his retirement. He is survived by his son, Larry Chrastil of Crete; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Reg LaMountain of Omaha; grandchldren, Sheilla and Dana Dea of O'Neill, Susan and Jack Einrem of Chappell, Steve and Michele LaMountain of Gretna, Sherlyn and Bill Evans of Georgetown, Texas; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Bill, Fred, and Joe; sisters, Stella and Mamie. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Kuncl Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Hagaman officiating. Soloist will be Elmer Nemec, accompanied by Patricia Butt. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Noah Dea, Luke Dea, Dana Dea, Marie Pethoud, Jack Einrem, and Steve LaMountain. Memorials in care of the family. Source: The Crete News
